CSSD was founded inside 1906 by Elsie Fogerty, to offer a recently form of step by step training within speech & drama for immature actors & more students. In a period of a war, it was depending at “The Hall� – the Royal Albert Hall - although it moved during a war to Exeter. Now, a portion of a campus is at the Swiss Cottage site in N London. There exists too the places at Oval in South London.

Courses come provided within acting, art, arts management, circus, costume, design, directing, drama & education, drama and movement therapy, dramaturgy, lighting, media education with English, musical theatre, performance, prop-making, puppetry, scenic art, scenic construction, scenography, set design, sound, stage management, technical theatre, voice and writing.
